Watch St. Louis Cardinals vs San Francisco Giants Online

Having lived a portion of my life in both St. Louis and San Francisco, I don’t know who to root for in this series between the Cardinals and the Giants.  The Giants took the first game of this series and then the Cardinals won a great contest last night.

As I review the stats on ESPN.com, I am trying to get a handle on who will win this contest before watch the baseball game online

The Cardinals currently have a better record and their hitting has been nothing short of spectacular with Lance Burkman, not Albert Pujols leading the way.

The big stopper in this game may be Linnecum, the Giants pitcher who won took them to the championship this year.

One thing is for sure…I am excited about this contest between my beloved teams today.

My Laptop Just Broke

So, last night, my laptop broke.  I never even thought that I would drop my laptop, but last night, it happened.  Now, with money tight, I will need to be getting laptops at the cheapest price and I will need to learn to take better care of my laptop.

To do so, I need to pay heed to strategies to protect my laptop as is mentioned in the article Maintenance Monday: Ways to Protect Your Laptop. There, they mention several things that you can do to protect your laptop…none of which I was doing. The first thing that they mention is “Physical Damage.” Well, that is exactly what I did. I simply was watching a movie on my laptop when I decided to bring it from the living room to the bedroom so that I could watch the rest of the movie in bed and fall asleep to it. I forgot that it was plugged in and that tension when I walked away brought the laptop right to the ground. All of the sudden, POOF, all gone.

The worst thing is that I have not backed up my data or anything.  Basically, I am screwed.

Another thing that they mention in protecting your laptop is laptop cases.  Of course, I rarely would use the case.  I would just throw my laptop in my purse and be on my way.  I suppose I was destined to screw this up after taking care of it so poorly.

Thus, I am now also searching for cheap laptop backpacks to go with my new laptop.

For me, right now, everything must be cheap because I don’t have a whole lot of money to spend.

I might even just bite the bullet and go completely small/off brand like an Acer or something.  I just had a look and it seems that I can get a new, albeit cheap, inelegant laptop, for about $350.

But, when you break your laptop by dropping it, do you really deserve better?

Firefox Is the Best Browser

I have just decided that Firefox wins the battle of the best Web browsers.  For years I have been a devotee of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer but this past weekend I finally changed my mind.

You see, I have been working on a new computer–so I know that it is not the computers fault–and IE kept crashing on me.  After relaunching my browswer about 10 times, I finally concluded that Internet Explorer Sucks and download both Firefox and Chrome.

Both were faster right out of the gate than Internet Explorer but I went with Firefox.  Why?

Well, I found Google Chrome to be a bit…I guess the word would be unusual.  As Google does, I am sure that they will make this product great.  However, for now, Firefox is the choice for me and, after 2 days with Firefox, I am SO GLAD that I switched from Internet Explorer!

Day Before Tax Day

Sitting here at work on Wednesday, the day before tax day, I am depressed.  Here I am thinking that my tax refund is going to be a big one and it turns out that it will not be….which absolutely sucks.

I was searching for the best LCD TV that I could find that would be under $1,000 because that is about what my refund was going to be…now it is a measly $550, about half that.

I am not happy.

So, the question is…should I buy the TV and simply put the remainder of the money that I do not have on my credit card?  I need to get into the LCD Mix as people are so excited with LCD TVs.

Plus, I am a huge movie fan and I spend SO much times watching movies.  So, as I sit here depressed on the 14th, I think I’ll just go ahead and do.  WTF, no?

Learning the Proper Golf Swing

This whole past week I have been reading about the Tiger Woods episode.  Have you ever seen a fall from grace that occurred faster than this one?

He was the perfect model husband and family man…or so everyone thought–what a sham.  That dude is a player.  Perhaps he should just come out and say, "Ok, I like to be with lots of women".

Not only has this story kept me going, it has reignited my interest in golf.  Today, after I write this post, I am going to go to the driving range and try to get my golf swing back…not that there ever was much of one in the first place.  However, I think that the golf swing proper technique is critical.  If you are not swinging the golf club right, you will never get better no matter how hard you practice it.

Many of us think about Driving a Golf Ball and truth be told we are all amateurs.  I mean…even Tiger has trouble driving the golf ball.  Yes, it always goes far, but does it stay in bounds.  He never has that much confidence with it.

Anyway, so this Saturday afternoon, my focus will be golf.

Perhaps Tiger’s focus should now be life–he kind of sucks at that!

Also, friends and random Internet visitors, I will try to write more often so if you like my ramblings, stop on by more often for a visit or two,  I promise that there will be more than one entry every 6 months!

My First Entry Will Be About Golf

Ah, you guys, I started my blog here last summer and how many entries have I made–ZERO!

Could I be more pitiful?  Is anybody reading this?

My first order of business will be to delete this default entry and then write about what I am going to do today…which is golf.

Now, let me see if I can delete that default post…
